Warranty Terms And Conditions
Extended Warranties
There are no warranties, express or implied, except as set forth below:
LIMITED WARRANTY AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
This warranty is only valid to the original purchaser for a period of 90 days from date of invoice.
| Engines | ENGINES THAT KNOCK EXCESSIVELY OR DEVELOP EXCESS BLOW BY OR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WITHIN 90 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF PURCHASE WILL BE REPAIRED, REPLACED, OR THE PURCHASE PRICE WILL BE REFUNDED AT LEW'S OPTION. ACCESSORIES WHICH MAY COME ON AN ENGINE SUCH AS FUEL SYSTEMS, DISTRIBUTORS, ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, MANIFOLDS AND WATER PUMPS ARE NOT WARRANTED. TIMING CHAINS, TIMING BELTS, AND DAMAGE DUE TO THEIR FAILURE ARE NOT COVERED. WE RECOMMEND TIMING BELT OR CHAIN BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED BEFORE INSTALLATION. GASKETS AND SEALS NEED TO BE REPLACED BEFORE INSTALLATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE OIL LEAKS. EXTERNAL GASKETS AND SEALS ARE NOT WARRANTED. THEY NEED TO BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF NECESSARY BEFORE INSTALLATION. IF ENGINE IS OVERHEATED, WARRANTY IS VOID. |
| CYLINDER HEADS: | GUARANTEED NOT TO BE CRACKED OR WARPED WHEN PURCHASED. CAMS, VALVES, AND LIFTERS ARE NOT GUARANTEED. |
| A/C COMPRESSORS: | THE A/C SYSTEM IS TO BE FLUSHED TO REMOVE ANY CONTAMINANTS AND THE PROPER OILS AND FREON IS TO BE USED. ALSO, THE A/C SYSTEM NEEDS A NEW FILTER, DRYER AND ORIFICE TUBE WHEN INSTALLED. |
| TRANSMISSION: | TRANSAXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL ARE GUARANTEED TO WORK PROPERLY. WE RECOMMEND GASKET AND SEALS TO BE REPLACED BEFORE INSTALLATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE AGAINST OIL LEAKS |
ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, COOLING SYSTEMS AND A/C SYSTEMS MUST BE FLUSHED TO REMOVE CONTAMINANTS
WARRANTY IS VOIDED IF THE PART OR PARTS ARE NOT RETURNED TO US IN THE SAME CONDITION IN WHICH THEY ARE SOLD OR DO NOT BEAR THE IDENTIFYING MARK WHICH APPEARS ON LEW'S PARTS. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ORDERING THE CORRECT PART. PARTS NOT DEFECTIVE WHICH ARE RETURNED FOR WHATEVER REASON ARE SUBJECT TO A 25% RESTOCKING CHARGE. ALL RETURNED PARTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SALES RECEIPT.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS VOID IF ANY PART:
- IS USED FOR ANY PURPOSE NOT INTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER
- IS IMPROPERLY MAINTAINED
- IS DISASSEMBLED OR DAMAGED
- IS OVER HEATED
- IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED BY A COMMERCIAL AUTO REPAIR FACILITY
- IS USED IN HIGH PERFORMANCE, OFF ROAD VEHICLES
- IS PAID FOR WITH A DEFICIENT FORM OF PAYMENT, PAYMENT IS STOPPED OR ACCOUNT IS NOT PAID IN FULL BY THE 15TH OF THE FOLLOWING MONTH.
LEW'S IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LABOR CHARGES, DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED BY INSTALLATION, REMOVAL OR USE OF THIS MERCHANDISE OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE.
CUSTOMER AGREES TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VIRGINIA FOR ANY ISSUE CONCERNING THIS SALE
RETURNED CHECKS WILL INCUR A $35.00 OR 10% (WHICHEVER IS GREATER) ADMINISTRATIVE HANDLING FEE. CUSTOMER AGREES TO PAY ALL REASONABLE ATTORNEY AND LEGAL EXPENSES INCURRED BY LEW'S TO COLLECT DEBTS OWED BY THE CUSTOMER.

Conditions and Terms of Extended Warranty
The following part specific conditions must be met in order to validate the warranty.
| ENGINES |
- Cooling systems will be tested and flushed, cooling fans verified to be working properly.
- Proper verification of normal service and maintenance every 4,000 miles will be maintained. - Front pump seal replaced at the time of install to prevent leaks. - Servicing reccommended on external timing belts prior to installation because belt failure could result in extensive damage. - Heat tabs will be placed on every engine sold. |
| TRANSMISSIONS: | - All transmissions sold are drained and will need filter, fluid, front and rear seal.
- Transmission cooling systems must be flushed |
| AIR CONDITIONING COMPONENTS: | - On all A/C parts sold the systems will need to have new refrigerant oil.
- The system will also need to be vacuum tested before being charged with freon |
| AXELS: | - All carriers assemblies and axle assemblies are drained and must have the proper lubricant added when installed. |
| HYDRAULIC PARTS: |
- All parts that are driven hydraulically or require hydraulics will need to have the old fluid flushed out befor replacement part is installed. |
All claims on extended warranty must be authorized by the salesman prior to having repairs done. Failure to follow the above required procedures may result in voiding extended warranty. Warranty is non-transferable. Lifetime warranty lasts for as long as you are the registered owner of the vehicle
